It's always so tricky to rate food items - is it five stars or four? I rate this muffin mix four stars not because there is anything wrong with it but because it's not one of my favorite foods ever. Yet you might easily find it a five star item - the muffins are very, very good and very easy to make and store.
These apple streusel muffins are quite tasty. The muffins are soft and slightly spicy; the streusel included is very generous and you can use as much or as little as you please when sprinkling the topping. The muffins store well in the fridge - I eat two every morning before work and the end-of-the-week muffins are still fresh and tasty after reheating. I do wish that there were more 'apple bits' in the mix - the apple taste is subtle, almost too subtle for my taste.
This mix makes 12 regular sized muffins, and there is enough mix to ensure the muffins are nice and big and puffy. The mix requests the addition of milk, oil, and eggs.

The muffins are about $.20 apiece as opposed to whatever you pay out in the world at shops that sell muffins. Bread bakes in under an hour; muffins are less than 30 minutes. Nice to keep on hand for welcoming new neighbors, taking a quick treat to the office, or for packing in lunches for school. We always have this and the banana bread on hand. Two thumbs up! Even novice cooks or children can make these. Enjoy!

(More customer reviews)We LOVE the new gluten free Bisquick! I used to for cheddar biscuits mostly until we found out that we had a milk protein intolerance. Now, we are using this to make so many more recipes because it is dairy free and from what I can tell allergen free. The only thing I would like better (General Mills-if you are listening-I know I am not the only one that wants this) is if it came in bulk packaging. Just put the GF Bisquick in a larger box like the regular Bisquick and then sell in a 3 or 6 pack. Just mark that this review was helpful if you agree and maybe GM will listen! LOVE THIS-ORDER NOW!!

(More customer reviews)While reading through one of those lists advising me of what I should be eating in order to get all of the vitamins, minerals, bioflavinoids, and existential approval necessary for perfect health, I found that I should be eating dried cherries. On a regular basis. As in daily. So I went off to the store in search of dried cherries. It turns out that not only are dried cherries really good for you. They are also really expensive. Or dry as sawdust with about as much taste.
Oskri produces and packages some wonderful dried cranberries and I wondered if they did the same for cherries. It turns out that Oskri's dried cherries are just as wonderful as the dried cranberries. Like the cranberries, these are the whole fruit and not bits and pieces. The cherries have been pitted and doused with a touch of apple juice for a bit of extra sweetener and then dried. The end result is a dried cherry that retains the perfect amount of moisture and a deep rich flavor.
I've been mixing my own "trail mix" (it should probably be called "office mix") using Brazil nut, pecans, almonds, hazelnuts, and these dried cherries. Fabulous, healthy with just enough existential approval.

Pamela's baking and pancake mix is a real heaven-sent product. It tastes good! Unlike some other baking mixes I have tried. The only negative I can come up with for this product is the amount of sugar used on the topping. Other than that, this is the only muffin product I would buy. We did try some other brands and they were absolutely horrible!! If you're on a gluten free diet, give these a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Leave them in the freezer and take one out as needed. WONDERFUL!!

(More customer reviews)I have been making Pillsbury bread mixes for at least five years. They taste good and are easy to make, even for someone like me with no previous baking experience. Cranberry is definitely my favorite. I substitute three tablespoons of apple sauce for the oil in order to minimize the fat content, and I use three egg whites in place of the two whole eggs. I also like to add extra dried cranberries to the mix, one-third of a 4.2 oz. package, which is 1.4 oz by weight. I use a glass loaf "pan" and bake it for 50 to 55 minutes at 375°F. (Note: The only ingredients needed are the bread mix, eggs, apple sauce or oil, water, and optionally extra dried cranberries.) I recommend adding the extra cranberries for improved flavor.
