A 12 cup mini muffin tin is of no use to me. I much prefer a 24 cup pan. It's ok though I will save it for a gift.

Nordic Ware Platinum Collection Train Pan Review

Nordic Ware Platinum Collection Train Pan
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I used this pan to make a cake for my grandson's birthday party. I did two practice runs on using the pan. A regular cake mix will work as well as the recipe that is printed on the underside of the label. I followed the instructions to fill the pan only 3/4 full but with a cake mix, I found this to be too much. Each section has a horizontal line as part of the design for each train car. Fill only to the top of this line so the cakes will be the right height. It is important to follow the instruction to hit the pan firmly on your countertop before placing the batter in the oven - this will eliminate any air bubbles trapped in the cake. When the cake sections are baked, wait 10-15 minutes then turn them out GENTLY onto a wire frame. DO NOT TAP THE BOTTOM OF THE SECTIONS before turning the cakes out since they will come out with some of the design missing.
However, this cake pan works beautifully. I found that a soft paint brush worked very well with hot soapy water when washing the sections out.

Fox Run Non-Stick Fluted Cake/Muffin Pan with Center Tube Review

Fox Run Non-Stick Fluted Cake/Muffin Pan with Center Tube

This is a good basic pan that does what it promises. I made a bunch of adorable little bundt cakes with it. Just be careful to thoroughly spray and flour--I didn't flour, and had a horrible time getting out the little cakes. But once they were out, they were very cute and had baked evenly. FYI, I used two pans for one recipe's worth of cake.

Regency Set of 40 Patisserie Grade Greaseproof Baking Cups, Blue Review

Regency Set of 40 Patisserie Grade Greaseproof Baking Cups, Blue
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought these wrappers because it says greaseproof on them and 40 ct. Well after baking I didn't see much of a difference in the grease area and I also needed to make 40 cupcakes. Low and behold they only came with 36. If you look at the container it says 36-40 ct. It doesn't even give you an exact amount. I'm giving it three stars because I feel that they were adorable in color but they didn't live up to the expectations of paying what they cost. They are slightly thicker then the color ones you get at the store for $1.50 but it's not a huge difference.

Silicups Regency Mini Silicone Baking Cups, Set of 6 Review

I fell in love with the full-sized, pastel Sili-Cups (by Regency), before setting out to find the mini cups.
I've had my full-sized cups for about 4 years, and have used them several times with great success.
The price may seem high, but if you enjoy baking, or find yourself making cupcakes even just a few times per year, you'll definitely enjoy using these baking cups.
I love mine!

This is by far my favorite Pampered Chef product. The muffins bake evenly and never burn. The only drawback may be that it is heavy, so don't buy it for grandma. Once seasoned, muffins come out with no problem, although I do spray with Pam each time.

Baker's Secret Basics Nonstick Mini Fluted Tube Pan Review

Baker's Secret Basics Nonstick Mini Fluted Tube Pan
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought one of these pans locally to try. I wanted to see how non-stick they were and how successfully small cakes could be removed from them without damage. I loved it but when I tried to buy more, I couldn't find any locally. But I did find them on Amazon and bought 3 more to be sure I had enough for large recipes. I've baked small bundt cakes, flourless cakes and sponge cakes in them. When cakes are turned out, there's a small indentation on top that can hold warm sauce, berries, etc. so you have a very pretty presentation with no work. I've also lined pans with plastic wrap and packed flavored cream cheese mixes into them to firm up. When they're lifted out using the plastic wrap, you have a pretty shaped cream cheese mound for a buffet or hors d'oeuvres table. Great product!

Cuisinart Easy Grip Bakeware 12-Cup Muffin Pan Review

Cuisinart Easy Grip Bakeware 12-Cup Muffin Pan
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have had this muffin/cupcake pan for about six months, and really love it. It is VERY solid and sturdy, no wobbling batter for me! The nonstick attribute works very well, and it cleans up quickly and easily. I really like the non-slip grip handles as well. Gives me something to hold onto when removing the pan from the oven, instead of mashing some unfortunate cupcake with the big hot mitt. Double check the measurement of your oven, since the wonderful grip handles do make the pan longer than most. If your oven is petite, it may not fit. I highly recommend this pan. I stocked up on some other Cuisinart bakeware at the same time, since it had/has the 4-for-3 promotion on it. Happy baking! www.EatRealGood.com

These cupcake papers are really cute, but they are smaller than the ones I'm used to using. (They were too small for my mini cupcake pan purchased at WalMart). I ended up using them to hold M&Ms because they were just too little. But they are darling.

I was unable to find these available anywhere in stores. I was very pleased that they came in a pack of two, for a better price than one, as I always rotate two pans when baking batches and imagine others have the same practice. They were an anonymous gift from me to someone else, so I don't have any other feedback.

Nordic Ware Platinum Collection Cast-Aluminum Nonstick Tea-Cake and Candy Mold Review

Nordic Ware Platinum Collection Cast-Aluminum Nonstick Tea-Cake and Candy Mold
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Many of the comments refer to issues removing cakes from the pan. If you use Baker's Joy or Pam for Baking spray you will have NO problem. Place the pan on the open dishwasher door and spray away... you will have no mess to clean up either. i have many shaped pans including this one and the secret to easy removal and clean up is the spray.
Also, many of you are using cake mixes as the box instructs. these pans work best with a denser cake such as a bundt or pound cake recipe. there are many recipes/books for modifying mixes into such cakes, or you can start from scratch. see [...]
when you put the batter into the pan you also need to tap the pan on the counter or run a toothpick through the batter to remove the air bubbles that get trapped at the bottom of the mold, hence distorting the shapes.

Oster CKSTSMM10 1-1/3-Quart Egg Cooker and Mini Food Steamer Review

Oster CKSTSMM10 1-1/3-Quart Egg Cooker and Mini Food Steamer
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The steamer is of good quality and works as intended, but I feel it has design flaws that make it unsatisfactory for me. First thing I noticed is that the knob is very hard to turn. It is a small diameter so it is hard for me to grip tightly enough to comfortably turn as it has a lot of tension on it's spring. Next, the indicator for the timer is just a dimple in the light gray knob. It is only about 2mm and is very hard for me to see. Finally, the trays for cooking eggs are made of a plastic and seem to cause uneven cooking. When the top of the egg is done to perfection the bottom is still raw, so by the time it is cooked on the bottom the top half is too hard. I have used an aluminum measuring 1/4 cup to cook eggs with and it cooks much more evenly with the metal container. In all other aspects it is fine.

Easily steam a variety of foods with this electronic mini food steamer. The unit's 1-1/3-quart-capacity steaming bowl can accommodate a couple ears of corn, a medley of summer squash, root vegetables, or other mealtime favorites. Even more, its optional food separator allows for steaming two different types of food at the same time, side by side. It can also be used to cook up to eight soft- or hard-cooked eggs or up to four poached eggs with the included poaching tray. Simply add food, secure the lid, pour in water using the water-level indicator to gauge how much, and start the steaming process by setting the timer from 0 to 30 minutes (a red "on" indicator light will illuminate). The appliance creates instant steam so it's possible to start cooking immediately, and its external water-fill system features a transparent reservoir, making it a snap to see when more water needs to be added. Best of all, the unit automatically switches over to a keep-warm setting at the end of the cooking cycle, keeping food warm until serving time. The mini food steamer measures approximately 7 by 9 by 8-1/2 inches.

Great quality and perfect size for a toaster oven. Regular size tins won't fit in a toaster oven. I bought two. Unfortunately, placing one in the upper part and one in the lower part of the oven, they didn't cook equally as well, so I just use one at a time.

PaperChef Culinary Parchment 60 Large Baking Cups Review

PaperChef Culinary Parchment 60 Large Baking Cups
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have previously used paper baking cups and have had a horrible time getting them separated. Even though I purchased them in bulk, I eventually gave up and decided to purchase the PaperChef Culinary Parchment Baking Cups. I'm glad I did. They are super easy to get separated and are worth every penny. That are a bit thicker feeling than the standard plain white paper cups. The size was good for most standard sized muffin tins. They were great for a couple of muffin pans I had, however, another pan was a bit smaller (had more of a slant to it). But still well fitting for most. If you are looking for baking cups or liners for jumbo sized muffins, take a look at the PaperChef Culinary Parchment 30 X-Large Baking Cups. Definitely recommended.

Big Top Cupcake BT011106 Silicone Bakeware Review

Big Top Cupcake BT011106 Silicone Bakeware
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My son had to have this for this birthday. I was skeptical but it truely does work. It was smaller than I anticipated, but if you mix up 2 boxes of cake mix and add two-thirds of the mix it makes a big difference. This leaves you enough mix for 12 regular size cupcakes. I found I had to turn the oven down from 350 to 325 and baked for approximatly 45 to 50 minutes so it didn't brown too much. I have tried both Duncan Hines and Pillsbury mixes in it and Pillsbury works best. If you are planning on making these for bakes sales (which sell like hot cakes!) I would recommend buying 2 molds if you haved the chance. I made 4 in one night and it took me 5 hours in total between baking, cooling, and frosting. Best part about it is that it makes the best Mario Brothers Mushroom Cake around!

Nordic Ware Platinum Backyard Bugs Pan Review

Nordic Ware Platinum Backyard Bugs Pan
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The Nordic Ware Platinum pans are lifetime pans that you'll pass on someday! This BUG pan is the cutest ever! Some tips I got from a PRO: 1. heat the pan as you pre heat the oven, then spray it while its HOT and fill it. 2. 1/3 cup batter per bug is plenty. 3. To make the bottoms flat, lay a knife down on the pan, before you remove the cakes, and slide it thru the bottom of the cake, removing the humps. 4. Cool cakes in pan 10 min then pour out on parchment paper. 5. Use a hotter oven (375) and a little shorter time to get the most definition of the bugs. 6. Never use SOAP on the pan, or put it in the dishwasher, just rinse it while its HOT and set in the warm oven to DRY. The Platinum Series gives you PERFECT release of baked goods and NEVER needs scrubbing. (I wrote these tips down because they work soooo well, and these top of the line pans deserve a little extra care.) I buy the Platinum pans as they are issued and some I have are over 10 years old and are still PERFECT because I use these tips!
