You have full control of how much batter to dispense, and the best part was that the bottom didn't even get messy like I expected! As soon as you let go of the handle, it stops everything, not even an extra drop. It was the fastest and cleanest I've ever made cupcakes in my life. And very easy to clean too! I couldn't think of one bad thing to say about this product. I'm so impressed.
