This biscuit pan is the best; I researched four pans before deciding on this one. I love that it is rectangle rather than circle or square shaped. The shape takes up less space in the oven so it is possible to put another pan beside it. When I turn on my oven I like to make the best of the energy consumption and baking two things at once helps. I rarely use canned biscuits but I have done it once and they baked very well, just as nice and very light golden color the way I like biscuits. Don't over-bake them or they get hard and crispy. I was a little worried about the pre-seasoning used on this pan as all my other cast iron cookware is Lodge but this Old Mountain piece is equally as good in color & non-stick function. Easy cleaning too. After I have used this pan I clean it then give it a light wipe-on of coconut oil (very light coat, thick coat will get gummy residue) and put the pan back in the oven on the lower rack, then the next one or two times I turn on the oven for something else on the upper rack I am maintaining my seasoned coating on the pan at the same time; as easy as that.I highly recommend this pan to anyone who likes biscuits made either from scratch or canned.
