I purchased three of these pans specifically for baking homemade sandwich rolls (hamburger buns). I mix the dough in my breadmaker, then bake in this pan to get the perfect 4-inch bun. The pan bakes well and the nonstick feature is a great bonus. So, think beyond muffins -- try making your own sandwich buns!

Bake everyone's favorite part of the muffin with this six-cup muffin-top pan. Hailing from the Chef's Classic line, the pan is made of heavy-gauge aluminized steel, a durable material that heats evenly and delivers extra-consistent baking results. In addition, the pan features a slick nonstick coating on both sides, ensuring an easy release even without the use of shortening or butter. Muffin tops will pop out with nothing more than a slight pull. Less-sturdy pans might wilt under excessive heat, but Chef's Classic bakeware provides extra-thick rolled rims, which prevent warping even after years of use. Oven-safe to 450 degrees F, the bakeware is dishwasher-safe--though it also cleans easily by hand due to its nonstick surface. The muffin-top pan measures approximately 11 by 7 inches and carries a limited lifetime warranty.

These are fine as far as quality and function, but be aware that there are only SIX muffin cups, not 12!! This was not stated anywhere on the listing. I would NOT have bought these had I known that. I would have bought Wilton brand (12/$9.99)instead!

Nordic Ware Microwave Eggs 'n Muffin Breakfast Pan Review

Nordic Ware Microwave Eggs 'n Muffin Breakfast Pan
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I take a small bowl, mix two large eggs with a splash of milk (don't over beat it, just get it mixed well) and pour it into the gray side of the container. Close the lid, and microwave it for a minute and a half (our microwave says it's 850 watts if that helps). The steam will cause a little bit of popping noise here and there. Some steam might shoot out from under the lid and onto the bottom of the microwave, but I haven't had any issues with egg splattering inside the microwave.
Before opening the thing, I flip it over and give it a gentle shake so the egg falls into the lid. Then I open it up and flip the egg onto some bread. This way I have better aim to get the egg on the bread instead of shaking it over the bread to get the egg out of the cooker. Not that its hard to get out, but that little bit of a shake can make your egg land off center of the bread. I'm just OCD enough that my egg must be centered. This thing is small enough that you can set your bread or muffin on top of the cooked egg and then flip.
As far as cleaning goes... a little bit of egg will be stuck to the inside of the cooker, but it's not baked on hard. It cleans out easily enough. Just wipe the egg out and toss the thing in the dishwasher. I haven't tried using cooking spray in it yet, but you might want to try it if you want this to be even easier to clean out.
It's just a nice, handy little microwave container that's really inexpensive. The way I do it, it makes a nice thick fluffy disc of egg which is perfect for making sandwiches. It's hot enough when you first take it out of the microwave that if you throw a slice of cheese on there it will melt enough to be tasty. It doesn't taste the same as frying an egg in a pan on the stove, but it's not supposed to, and it's not going to, and it's healthier than frying anyway.
Nordic Ware also makes a microwave egg broiler which can hard boil 4 eggs at a time in the microwave. If you like to hard boil eggs (or even soft boil them too) I would also recommend that product.

Norpro 3775 Muffin Rings, Set of 4 Review

Norpro 3775 Muffin Rings, Set of 4
Average Reviews:

Used these this morning for making crumpets for Xmas breakfast. Worked beautifully. I didn't have to try to keep all the crumpets the same shape, didn't have to chase the batter all over the skillet. Very handy tool. My only problem was that my largest skillet will only hold 1 at a time flat (the second starts climbing the slanted side). So it took a while to make a batch, but maybe I just need to invest in a larger skillet! :)
I shut one of them in the drawer this morning, and it didn't damage it or warp it out of shape at all, so they're pretty sturdy.

This is my first time using silicone bakeware and I am extremely impressed. The mini muffins and mini brownies came out perfectly brown and did not stick at all. I have been looking for an alternative to non-stick pans that have a toxic coating, and I think this is a great alternative.

Chicago Metallic Non-Stick Original Muffin Top Pan Review

Chicago Metallic Non-Stick Original Muffin Top Pan
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
You don't know how many people have asked me how to make these muffin tops! The pans are wonderful, I spray them with a cooking spray, use a boxed muffin mix, reduce the temperature 75 degrees from what the box says to use for muffins, cook for about 12 minutes, and they are perfect! I use a silicone spatula to remove them from the pan, I don't want to ruin these precious things.
My friends have ordered them too, they also think they are a great buy. One of my friends even says she puts hers in the dishwasher although I haven't tried that yet.
I LOVE THEM! I think a couple of these and a couple of mixes would be a great gift idea also!

OvenStuff Non-Stick 6-Cup Muffin Caps Pan Review

OvenStuff Non-Stick 6-Cup Muffin Caps Pan
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The pans I bought are of excellent quality and the price was the best I found. Two minor problems: the barcode stickers were very difficult to remove without harming the pan and I used a considerable amount of time, effort and spray-on adhesive remover to get them off. Secondly, there were no instructions on how to use, how high to fill with batter, how much to shorten baking time, or any recipes. I plan to use them for the first time this weekend and will just have to experiment. Two other comments: all four of the pans had tiny dents in the same place and I'm assuming that they were due to the production process and aren't big enough to affect the shape of the muffins. Also, any non-stick finishes are really for clean-up, and any pan should be greased and floured for baking (if the recipe calls for it) regardless of the finish.

Back to Basics TEM4500 4-Slot Egg-and-Muffin Toaster Review

Back to Basics TEM4500 4-Slot Egg-and-Muffin Toaster
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I love this toaster. When our old one died I debated whether to get another plain 2 piece toaster again or get something more. I'm glad I went with option B. My family pulled this out and couldn't start making egg balogna (only pre-cooked meat available) sandwichs quick enough. The toast, eggs and meat come out perfectly and all at the same time. I even put 2 pieces of bread in late and popped it down. They all came out evenly and hot. Many manufacturers have gone to short cords for safety, but if you have cabinets, all that heat dries out the wood. This toaster features a longer power cord so you can pull it out to the front of the counter. If there's a downside to this toaster, it would be the fact that the meats have to be pre-cooked. This will only steam them. Raw bacon isn't going to work. Another would be the footprint of this unit. It is about the size of two and a half standard toasters so make sure you have enough counter space. If that's not a problem, then buy this toaster and don't forget the eggs.

Make delicious egg-and-muffin sandwiches at home in about four minutes with this multi-function toaster. The appliance can toast up to four slices of bread, English muffins, bagels, or croissants, while it simultaneously steam-poaches eggs and warms pre-cooked meat. It can also hard- or soft-boil up to eight eggs at a time thanks to the included egg basket. In addition to heating up pre-cooked meat, the two included meat trays can be used to heat slices of tomato or pineapple to accompany toast or a breakfast sandwich--the options are endless. The unit's dual control panel allows for selecting from egg/toast, toast, and egg functions; bagel and defrost settings; and light to dark shade control. Other highlights include self-centering guides, a high-lift function for safely removing smaller bread types, a cool-touch exterior, a crumb tray for quick clean-up, and cord storage to help keep countertops tidy. The egg-and-muffin toaster measures approximately 16 by 11 by 8 inches and carries a one-year warranty.

HIC Brands that Cook Essentials Silicone 24-Cup Mini Muffin Pan Review

As far as use, this pan works nicely. I bought it to freeze homemade baby food. I've frozen pureed squash and breastmilk and also baked cookie cups in it and everything popped out easily. HOWEVER, the description doesn't tell you these cups are half the size of typical mini muffin pans. I thought in comparison, this was a good deal for a pan with a capacity of 24 oz. But, each cup only holds 1T, or 1/2 ounce--total capacity just 12 ounces. I could have gotten the Wilton one with 12-1 ounce cups for half the price. I'm irritated that the description is a bit misleading and at a time when money is tight, and I'm making baby food to save money, I paid double the price I should have.

Back to Basics TEM500 Egg-and-Muffin 2-Slice Toaster and Egg Poacher Review

Back to Basics TEM500 Egg-and-Muffin 2-Slice Toaster and Egg Poacher
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have only had this lovely toaster for a brief time, but I am very pleased. It does everything as advertised and it does it well.
I already have a great Black & Decker toaster-broiler that I continue to use. I consider this item in a different class. They have different strengths.
*First Impressions:
It smells like new plastic and chemicals out of the box. Up close it's easy to see that the pretty shell is made of black plastic, but it's not cheap-looking. After thoroughly wiping down the main unit, running the removable pieces through the dishwasher (top-shelf) and running the toast-cycle a few times, the odors went away. I wasn't sure whether the little measuring cup was going to be much use.
*First Cooking Trials:
I made hard boiled eggs. The eggs weren't boiled so much as steamed in the shell, but that's being picky. The eggs came out perfect on the first try. The little measuring cup was very useful as the amounts of water needed for different yolk-hardness were clearly marked on it. The process was almost idiot-proof.
The eggs went from refrigerator to sandwich in around 10 minutes and cleanup took another minute or so, consisting of rinsing the steamer tray and lid and wiping the heating tray with a damp paper towel.
A poached egg sandwich takes about 5 minutes from fridge to plate. It's a simple matter of placing the food on the appropriate tray (with a good bit of oil for the egg or else it will stick), pressing the right buttons and then coming back when you hear the toast pop up. The tray for heating sausage is more than large enough for a Garden Burger veggie patty if that's what you prefer and if you don't mind it soft and steamed. The toaster-slots can fit a wide range of breads, but perhaps not a thick bagel. The toaster has a clever timer so that toast is done at the same time as the egg.
The black plastic shell on the oven turns out to be an excellent heat-shield.
*Cleaning:
The trays can get messy -- in particular, the heating tray ends up with hard water deposits. Everything is easily cleaned with the exception of the steaming tray used for hard-boiling eggs, which has little bits that protrude to catch a sponge or a paper towel. The trays are made of plastic and are already showing scratches after just a few uses, but it's not noticeable from 3 feet away.
*One Annoying Thing:
If you cook something in the sausage tray, you'll find that its juices will drip down onto your egg and pool on the surface of the egg. Keep a bit of paper towel handy to swab the top of the egg before you remove it from the poaching cup.
*Usefulness:
Quickly hard boil eggs for tomorrow's lunch while you prepare for bed. Have it make your breakfast in the time that it takes you to make your morning cup of coffee. Make the kids a quick after-school snack. Make yourself a quick late-night snack. Any time you're in the mood for eggs and want them quickly. And it also makes toast.
*Summary:
I really like my new toy. It has that cool-gadget-chic that makes it fun to use, the black case looks sweet on a kitchen counter. It's easy to clean. When I ordered it on the advice of a friend, I thought that it was about $10 dollars too expensive, but the expense appears to be the consequence of making a high-quality product.

I run a small baking/cupcake business and have tried many different cupcake (muffin) pans over the years. I didn't really think that there was much of a difference between pans, until I tried this one. My cupcakes come out with a perfect dome on top, the sides never stick, and they are always perfectly cooked from top to bottom. I definetly recommend spending the extra money and gettin a quality cupcake pan like this one! I do wash it in the dishwasher, and have not had any problems thus far.

I wasn't sure if the cakes would come out as cute and pretty as the mold, but they really do! Since I'm not big on baking or cooking, I didn't go all the way and decorate them (and my little one hates icing anyway!), but it didn't matter - they still looked great! (And I think if you were to put icing on them, you'd really have to go all the way with different colors, crystals, etc. because then you'd lose some of the detail when you cover it up with the icing, so you'd have to work hard to bring it all out again!)

The color of pan is light-gray. But it doesn't affact my baking time, I still use the time recommended by the regular muffin recipes.

The quality seems lower than similar products I own. The actual silicone of this pan has a more crude finish and heft. That would be alright, but the part that has me worried is the smell. It's a plastic, chemical smell that my other silicone products do not have. Since you bake on high heat with it, the smell makes me question if chemicals will be breaking down or off-gassing into my food. Ingesting toxins is something I'd rather avoid, so it's going back.

I wrote in another review that I have been upgrading to Wilton products over the years after having to toss other baking pans. I recently got this mini muffin pan and LOVE it! Very easy clean up and once you get the hang of the small portions it is so fun to use. I have made cupcakes, muffins, and brownie bites--very perfect size for people to just eat a little something. My next projects will be little cheesecakes, quiches, and stuffed mushrooms.
There are also TONS of cute papers you can buy for these with themes for various holidays or just save money and buy the plain white. I have used and enjoyed this more than I thought I would and highly recommend it!
(PS if you have Amazon Prime this ships free. Another huge plus for people who don't live near a store that carries specialty items)
