The scoop allows every meatball or cookie to be the same size, so they all cook at the same speed. If you like to bake cookies as gifts, using this scoop makes the cookies look like they were bought in a store. It also makes it easier to make items that have a center, like cherry in the middle cookies. This is well worth the money.
