I like to make the Fiber One blueberry muffins (I buy the mix at Costco) and switch out applesauce for the oil. I used this pan without cooking spray and lowered the temperature to 400 as indicated on the box for nonstick pans.
If you remove the muffins right away, they are almost like muffin tops all the way around. They are Fabulous! The fill lines are a bit silly, but they might be helpful for people who don't make muffins often. Also, you can gently ease a rounded butter knife around the muffin to pop it out without harming the finish on the pan.
